Mixed Filler: A Blog Sampler for 3.27.08
Mixed Filler is a quick collection of snippets from the online stogie community. For the slower burning, long-filler versions just click on the links provided. Enjoy!
Camachos are everywhere this week. Cigarfan at Keepers of The Flame had an aged Camacho Havana Monarca last week, and tries the Camacho 1962 Robusto this week.
Meanwhile, Cigar Inspector samples the powerful Camacho Corojo Monarca.
Over at Stogie Review, Brian Hewitt finds the Indian Tabac Split Decision Quad Toro to be the worst invention since the poop flavored lollipop.
SR also has an interesting discussion of coffee-cigar pairings. Props to poster Brian Bircher for calling out Starbucks. Indeed, “dark roast” has become nothing more than a filthy little euphemism for “burnt.”
Stinkie at Cigar Beat likes The Griffins Fuerte Short Corona.
Lisa at Her Humidor tries one I haven’t run across, the Jameson Cigar Co. Robusto. It is made by Luis Sanchez of LTC fame, but the Jameson doesn’t sound like it measures up to Sanchez’s other (IMO, stellar) brands.
The Velvet Cigar’s Ironmeden experiments with facial hair (dude, that early-80s porn look is coming back in a big way!) and Arganese’s Uno Puro.
On the homefront, I caught a nasty head cold which has prevented me from posting a new review. As soon as my palate is trustworthy again, I’ll make it up to my two or three readers who must think I’ve fallen asleep at the switch.

“the worst invention since the poop flavored lollipop” LOL! Fantastic, I couldn’t have said it better myself!
Thanks as always for the shout out. I hope you feel better soon because I really enjoy reading your reviews. I’m sure the other two feel the same way.
Thanks, Lisa! A little better today. I’ll be back in action by the end of the weekend. - K
